1. Who we are
This website, http://integrativehealingfze.com, is operated by Integrative Healing FZE (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
- Registered address: PO Box Saif-Zone, Sharjah, U.A.E.
- Trade licence number: CD/L/14488/2022/SK
- Privacy contact: team@theschoolofintegrativehealing.com
This policy explains what we collect when you visit our website, interact with our ads on Facebook and Instagram, or contact us, and what choices you have.
2. What data we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and booking forms, including Facebook/Instagram Lead Ads: name, email address, phone number, country, and any message or answers you submit.
- Comments: the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
- Accounts (if you register): username, email and the profile details you provide.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time spent, and actions taken on the site (for example, submitting a form or making a booking).
- Cookie and pixel identifiers, including the Facebook click ID (fbclid) when you arrive from one of our ads.
Gravatar. An anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public next to your comment.
Media. If you upload images to the website, avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images from the website and extract that location data.
Health information. We do not ask for health information through our website forms or ads. Please do not include details of medical conditions in a web form; share them only directly with your practitioner. We never send health information to Meta or any other advertising platform.
3. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage) to run the site, remember your choices, measure performance, and advertise. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can limit ad personalisation as described in section 4. Blocking cookies does not stop ads from showing, but they will be less relevant to you.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Comment cookies | Save your name, email and website so you don’t retype them (opt-in) | Functional | 1 year |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies on the login page; no personal data | Essential | Session |
| Login cookies | Keep you signed in | Essential | 2 days (2 weeks with “Remember Me”) |
| Screen options cookies | Remember your display choices | Functional | 1 year |
| Post-edit cookie | Records the ID of an article you just edited; no personal data | Functional | 1 day |
| _fbp (Meta Pixel) | Identifies your browser so Meta can measure and target our ads | Advertising | 90 days |
| _fbc (Meta Pixel) | Stores the Facebook click ID when you arrive from one of our ads | Advertising | 90 days |
Login cookies are removed when you log out. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may then stop working.
4. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram and use Meta’s business tools to measure and improve those ads. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (for users in the EU/EEA) or Meta Platforms, Inc. (elsewhere) receives the data described below.
Meta Pixel. A small piece of code on our website that records events such as page views, form submissions (“Lead”) and bookings or purchases. It sends Meta your IP address, browser information, cookie identifiers (_fbp, _fbc), the page URL and the event. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.
Conversions API. We may send the same events to Meta directly from our server, so measurement still works when browsers block the pixel. Where we send contact details (such as email or phone number), they are hashed (converted into an unreadable code) before they leave our systems.
Lead Ads. If you fill in a form inside a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta passes the details you submit to us. We use them only to respond to your enquiry and, if you agreed, to send you updates.
Custom and lookalike audiences. We may upload hashed email addresses or phone numbers of existing contacts to Meta to show them relevant ads, or to find people with similar interests. Meta deletes the hashed data after matching. We do this only where you have given consent or we have another lawful basis, and you can object at any time.
What we do not send. We do not send Meta any health information, details of the services you received, or the content of your messages to us.
How Meta uses the data. Meta acts as a joint controller with us for collecting and transmitting pixel data, and as an independent controller for its own processing. See Meta’s Privacy Policy and its Business Tools terms.
How to opt out
- Block or delete advertising cookies in your browser settings.
- Change your ad settings on Facebook or Instagram: Meta ad preferences.
- Disconnect off-Meta activity from your account: Your activity off Meta technologies.
- Industry opt-outs: YourAdChoices (US) and Your Online Choices (EU).
5. How we use your data and why
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Answer enquiries and manage bookings | Contact and form details | Performing a contract or steps before one |
| Run, secure and fix the website; filter spam | Technical data, IP address, comments | Legitimate interests |
| Measure and show ads on Facebook and Instagram | Pixel and Conversions API data, hashed contact details | Your consent |
| Send newsletters and offers | Email, name | Your consent (unsubscribe any time) |
| Keep records required by law | Invoices, correspondence | Legal obligation |
We process data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, for visitors in the EU/EEA or UK, the GDPR. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing.
6. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images or posts from YouTube, Instagram or Facebook. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website.
Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, add their own third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. If you have an account and are logged in to that website, they can link this to your account.
7. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Meta Platforms, for advertising measurement and targeting, as described in section 4.
- Website hosting and maintenance providers: Hostinger, to store and run the site.
- Email and CRM providers: Keap, to manage enquiries and send emails you signed up for.
- Booking and payment providers: WooCommerce and Stripe, to process orders and payments.
- Spam detection services: visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam service such as Akismet.
- Authorities or advisers, when required by law, or to protect our rights.
If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email. Each provider may only use your data to provide its service to us.
8. International transfers
Some of our providers, including Meta, process data outside the UAE and outside the EU/EEA, for example in Ireland and the United States. When this happens, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and the transfer rules of the UAE PDPL.
9. How long we keep your data
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Enquiries and Lead Ads submissions | Up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client |
| Client and booking records | As long as required by UAE law (typically 5 years) |
| Newsletter subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe |
| Comments and their metadata | Indefinitely, so we can approve follow-up comments automatically |
| Registered user profiles | Until you delete your account |
| Meta Pixel cookies | Up to 90 days in your browser; Meta’s own retention is set out in its policy |
Registered users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time, except their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive an exported copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to erase your data;
- restrict or object to processing, including for direct marketing and ad targeting;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in the UAE, the UAE Data Office; in the EU, your local supervisory authority).
Erasure does not cover data we must keep for administrative, legal or security purposes. To use any of these rights, email team@theschoolofintegrativehealing.com. We reply within 30 days.
11. Security, children, changes and contact
Security. We use HTTPS, access controls and reputable providers to protect your data. No online system is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children. Our website and ads are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes. We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version; we will notify you of significant changes on the website.
